The Starship spacecraft successfully landed in the Indian Ocean
As part of the 13th test flight, the upper stage of SpaceX's Starship spacecraft successfully completed a controlled descent and made a soft landing in the Indian Ocean. The broadcast was posted on the social network X (ex. Twitter) on July 25.
"The flood has been confirmed! Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on the 13th Starship test flight!", — stated in the publication.
According to SpaceX, the time of the landing occurred at 02:57 Moscow time. The flight lasted just over an hour.
According to RIA Novosti, among the main tasks of the mission were: launching 20 Starlink V3 test satellites into a suborbital trajectory, re-powering one of the Raptor engines in space, as well as developing new approaches to monitoring the condition of the heat shield.
Earlier it was reported about the successful launch of the launch vehicle as part of the 13th test flight. The rocket was launched from the Starbase launch site in Texas.
