Sobyanin spoke about new recreation areas by the water in Moscow

This season, Moscow has opened 15 modern recreation areas by the water, located in different districts of the capital. This was announced by Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in Maks.

One of these objects was the territory near the Bolshoy Chernevsky Pond in the Yuzhnoye Butovo Landscape Park. The landscaping was completed in May 2026. The existing sandy beach has been expanded, another beach area with two heated pools has been equipped, sun beds, awnings and umbrellas have been installed.

Pavilions with changing rooms, showers, cafes and a medical center were also opened for visitors. About 500 people can have a rest on the territory at the same time. There are children's and sports grounds nearby.

According to the mayor, the creation of modern recreation areas by the water makes the capital more comfortable for both Muscovites and tourists.

Sobyanin also noted that transport and social infrastructure has been actively developing in Southern Butovo in recent years. A surface metro has appeared in the area, the construction of the Solntsevo — Butovo — Varshavskoye highway is being completed, social facilities are being updated, and the renovation program has already been completed.

In addition, Moscow continues to provide support to other regions of the country. Since 2020, 14 regions of the Russian Federation have received assistance from the capital, including Sevastopol, Donetsk and Lugansk, where the city is taking part in landscaping works.
