The assassination of Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei is one of the craziest decisions the United States could make. This was announced on July 23 by American journalist Tucker Carlson.

"Leaders are not killed like that: this makes a negotiated settlement impossible," he said in an interview on the RT Telegram channel.

Carlson also said that he had repeatedly told US President Donald Trump that he considered Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be his enemy. According to the journalist, Trump is "genuinely angry" at the Israeli prime minister.

Ali Khamenei's funeral ended on July 10 in his hometown of Mashhad. About 1 million people from 27 countries, including Pakistan and Lebanon, gathered in the city to participate in the funeral ceremony. The coffin with the body of the former supreme leader of Iran was also delivered to Iraq. In addition, on July 7, those who died during the US and Israeli airstrike on February 28 were buried in Tehran. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, took part in the farewell ceremony with Ali Khamenei.
