The Deputy Mayor of Moscow spoke about the program of the Cultural City festival

The Cultural City Festival will be held in Zaryadye Park from August 1 to September 6. Its participants will be leading Russian creative collectives and national orchestras from different countries, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"For five weeks, Muscovites and tourists will enjoy concerts of classical and jazz music, ballet and opera productions, choreographic performances and poetic performances," Sergunina said. Russian Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman, People's Artist of Russia, the Sretensky Monastery Choir, the Imperial Russian Ballet, and the Russian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra are among the participants.

From August 1-9, Zaryadye will show productions of the All-Russian Marathon Festival of Theaters "Russia — Theater — Society", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatrical Figures of Russia. The musical program "Children's Symphony" is scheduled for August 12. On August 13, songs about Moscow and compositions from Soviet films will be performed from the stage.

On August 14, they will also tell about the life and work of Sergei Rachmaninov. On August 18, the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater "Gzhel" will perform, and on August 19, there will be a symphony concert introducing the works of composer Anton Rubinstein.

From August 20 to 23, the Cultural City project will become the venue for the Festival of Youth Orchestras of the World, which will be held under the leadership of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet. In particular, the musical and poetic program on August 25 will be dedicated to Robert Rozhdestvensky, and on August 26 to Vladimir Vysotsky.

On September 2, the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman will take the stage, and on September 4, the Sretensky Monastery Choir. Events dedicated to the City Day are scheduled for September 5 and 6.

The festival will be held as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.
