The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the appearance of laser weapons against drones

In Ukraine, laser weapons to combat drones will appear in the coming months. This was announced on July 23 by the Deputy head of the Armed Forces of the country (AFU) Andrei Lebedenko.

"Projects are being developed that are related to the weapons of the future. It exists today. There are manufacturers and teams, both inside and outside the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including private enterprises producing laser weapons," the RBC-Ukraine Telegram channel quoted him as saying.

According to Lebedenko, systems of this type can be used to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suggested that the new weapons would be available to the troops in two to three months.
