A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the armed formations of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Ryzhevka, Ulanovo and Mogrica, Sumy region, Sosnovka, Bolshye Prokhody, Dementievka and Rubizhne, Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of the Russian military, the Ukrainian army lost over 275 militants, three armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles and an artillery piece.

In addition, the Center group of troops liberated the city of Belitskoye in the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 350 militants, two armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles, two field artillery guns, two electronic warfare stations, an electronic reconnaissance station and an AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare station.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated the manpower and equipment of the assault, two amphibious assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...> Zaporozhye region. The enemy lost up to 345 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the production and storage facilities of long-range drones, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 146 districts.

In turn, the air defense systems shot down seven guided aerial bombs, eight HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 480 aircraft-type drones. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet in the waters of the Black Sea destroyed an unmanned boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 187,478 UAVs, 667 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,269 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,765 multiple rocket launchers, 35,876 field artillery and mortars, 67,230 pieces of special vehicles.
