Emergency mode introduced in the village of Yakutia due to flooding

In Yakutia, an emergency mode was introduced in the village of Saydy of the Eginsky Nasleg in the Verkhoyansky district. The reason is the sudden rise of water in the Bytantai River. 48 yards were flooded, including 31 residential buildings.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, a high-alert regime has been in effect in Nasleg since July 20. On July 23, the water began to flood the plots. For this reason, the authorities decided to introduce an emergency regime.

Emergency services are carrying out rescue operations in the village. Tractors, motorboats and off-road vehicles of the residents are used for this purpose. A rescue helicopter was sent from Batagai to Saida, which will deliver food, drinking water, medicines and generators with pumps to the settlement.

On Friday, July 24, an Emergency Situations Ministry helicopter will arrive from Yakutsk. The situation is controlled by the leadership of the Verkhoyansky district and the republican services.

After heavy rains, the village of Kustur was flooded in the Eveno-Bytantai National district. During two days of rising water levels on the Bytantai River, courtyards and farmlands were flooded. The electricity supply has been suspended.
