On the evening of July 22, a tragedy occurred in the Sverdlovsk region on the Iset River — five sapboards overturned during rafting. As a result, one person died, three were swept away by the current, but they survived. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The circumstances of the incident

According to the Department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Kamensk-Uralsky, an emergency occurred on the Iseti River. A group of people were rafting on five inflatable sapboards. There are many steep descents in this place, similar to small waterfalls — boats broke off from them and overturned. It was reported that the group of tourists was not registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Victims

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Yekaterinburg, four people ended up in the water as a result of the incident. The woman and two minors were wearing life jackets, so the current carried them ashore. They were rescued by eyewitnesses of the incident. They do not need medical help.

According to the department, there was a family on two overturned sapboards — two children aged 9 and 13, as well as their parents. At the same time, according to the Unified Duty and Dispatch Service of Kamensk-Uralsky, there were three children in the group from 11 to 17 years old.

The deceased and the search

The man, who was on the water without life-saving equipment, could not swim out on his own and died. His body has not yet been found, rescuers on a boat are patrolling the river.
