An armored modification will be developed for Volga cars
The Russian company ArmorGroup, which is engaged in vehicle booking, will develop protection for cars of the domestic Volga brand. The company announced the preparation of such versions on its website.
It is stated that an armored modification for the Volga C50 sedan and the flagship Volga K50 crossover is under development. They are based on Geely brand models — the Preface sedan and the Monjaro SUV. Details about the protection class of cars and the timing of the appearance of such cars are not specified.
Other ArmorGroup projects include such armored models as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Tank 500, Lexus LX600, various Mercedes-Benz and others. The company has been developing protection for cars since 2006.
Sales of three models of the revived domestic brand Volga started on June 19. The C50 sedan costs from 3 million rubles, the price of the K40 crossover starts from 2.85 million, and the flagship K50 — 4.35 million rubles (excluding promotions and special offers). As reported on July 21, following the results of the first incomplete month of sales, the Volga brand sold 129 cars in Russia.
The Senat brand announced on June 8 that armored and special versions will be provided for the new Russian executive sedan Senat 900.
