The very first Ferrari electric car may go under the hammer for $ 1 million
Ferrari will auction the debut production model of the Luce. The Chassis 0 index car, which has received a unique finish, will be offered at auction at RM Sotheby's in August as part of Monterey Automotive Week, Carscoops reports on July 22.
It is planned that all funds from the sale of the electric car will be directed to educational projects implemented by The Ferrari Foundation. According to auctioneers, the total cost of the very first Luce electric car at auction could be $ 1.1 million, while the standard version of the model will cost about $ 640 thousand.
The first copy of the Ferrari Luce is notable for the fact that Tailor Made's individual project development department worked on it. The body of the supercar is painted in an exclusive shade of Madreperla Semi-Gloss with the addition of a special pigment that creates a color change effect — from greenish to purple tones — depending on the lighting and viewing angle. According to the company, the complex application technology makes each such coloring unique.
The interior is decorated with metallic Perla Le Mans leather, which is designed to visually "brighten" the interior. The car also received original wheels and a plate confirming the status of the first production copy.
The Ferrari Luce became the most discussed car on the Web at the end of May and received a barrage of criticism from fans of the brand, which was even joined by former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Italy Matteo Salvini. The presentation of the model took place on May 26, after which the shares of Ferrari fell by almost 8%.
As reported on June 23, Ferrari replaced Director of Marketing and Commerce Enrico Gallera a few weeks after the Luce model debuted.
