The court extended the arrest of a member of the gang of "black transplantologists" from Kosovo for six months.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow extended to six months the arrest of Boris Wolfman, an Israeli citizen and a member of the black transplant gang from Kosovo, who is accused of intentionally causing serious harm to health by an organized group, human trafficking for the removal and subsequent sale of internal organs. This was announced on July 21 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

"There's no need to keep me in custody. I am not hiding from the court and I am ready to appear at meetings on my own," the defendant said, asking for house arrest.

The prosecutor's office, justifying the request for an extension of the preventive measure in the form of detention, indicated that Wolfman had been on the federal wanted list since 2015 and had citizenship of Ukraine and Israel.

According to investigators, in the period from 2006 to 2008, Wolfman took part in the activities of an international organized criminal group (OCG), which was engaged in human trafficking for the illegal removal of human organs. The organized criminal group operated in Europe for more than two decades, and Russians were among the victims of the transplantologists. According to the Izvestia source, Wolfman and other band members reached out to three Russians who found themselves in a difficult life situation. The man hid the true purpose of the surgery and convinced donors of the safety of the procedure, for which they were promised a reward of € 8,000.

Last year, a victim of the "black transplantologists" at the Medicus clinic in Pristina spoke about how people were lured and deprived of organs. At the same time, clients who needed a transplant paid the clinic more than 100 thousand euros. At least 20 surgeries were performed at Medicus, despite the fact that organ sales are prohibited. The customers were wealthy clients from the USA, Canadians, Europeans and Israelis.

The Russians were transported to a private clinic and their vital organs were stripped — healthy kidneys were removed and transplanted to foreign patients. According to the source, the transfer cost each of the foreigners 80 thousand euros. Wolfman had been wanted by Interpol for 14 years.
