Putin approved the idea of handing military valor medallions to the parents of fallen soldiers

Investments in fixed assets in the Jewish Autonomous Region increased by 35% over the year, and logistics became a new driver. The governor of the EAO, Maria Kostyuk, reported this to Vladimir Putin on July 21. The new automobile bridge across the Amur River to China should help the development of this direction. The head of the region, besides the mother of the Hero of Russia Andrei Kovtun, who died in the SVO zone, also spoke about the support of the families of the fighters. The President supported her idea of presenting military valor medallions to the parents of fallen heroes.

What was discussed at the meeting

Maria Kostyuk, who headed the region in November 2024, presented the results of the work of the EAO team to the president. According to her, GRP grew by 4.4% last year, while investments in fixed assets increased by 35%. Four enterprises have been opened in the region, including the production of reinforced concrete products and metal structures. The President asked how such a dynamic had been achieved.

Logistics has given a significant impetus to the development of the region. The key project here is a new automobile bridge across the Amur River to China. According to the governor, there is interest from the Chinese side as well.: Appropriate communications have already been established there. A priority development area is developing around the bridge, and the number of residents has doubled over the year to 13. "Although the EAO is small, it doesn't like to joke: either we do it or we don't," Kostyuk said.

The region has also focused on education and doubled the pace of school renovation. Salaries of teachers, according to the governor, increased from 8 thousand to 25 thousand rubles, after which cadres began to return to schools. At the same time, Kostyuk admitted that during the last national project, not a single new educational institution could be built in the region. Putin noted: "Kindergartens and schools need to be put in order."

At the meeting with Khusnullin, Putin stressed the reliability of the family mortgage and noted the enormous amount of investment in the construction industry.

All regions of the Russian Federation are more or less involved in supporting Russian fighters participating in the special operation.
