Autostat pointed to a sharp increase in sales of electric cars and hybrids in Russia
Over the past three weeks, sales of new electric vehicles and hybrids in Russia have almost doubled, by 83%. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on July 20.
So, for the period from June 29 to July 19 in the Russian Federation, the average weekly sales amounted to 2,144 plug-in hybrids and 326 electric vehicles. In the first half of the year, an average of 1,173 hybrids and 178 electric cars were sold per week.
In addition, as the expert noted, last week (the 29th in a row), sales of electric vehicles set a record in 2026, amounting to 419 units. In the hybrid segment, the record was set on the 27th week of the year (2,299 units).
Among the electric cars, the bestsellers over the past three weeks have been the UMO 5, Avatr 11 and 12, Changan Qiyuan Q05 and Moskvich 3e.
In the plug-in hybrid segment, the top five are Geely EX5 EM-I, Evolve I-Space, Exeed Exlantix ET, Voyah Free and GAC S7.
Earlier, on July 13, the prices and configuration of the UMO 5 electric car were announced. The first copies will be distributed to private buyers in September this year.
