- The St. Petersburg Forum of United Cultures will feature 10 thematic sections
The main theme of the XII St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, which will be held from September 24 to 26 in St. Petersburg, will be "United Cultures — common values."
"Today, the issues of preserving cultural heritage, historical memory, traditional spiritual and moral values and national identity are of particular importance. The Forum of United Cultures creates opportunities for open professional dialogue, exchange of best practices and development of joint solutions aimed at the development of humanitarian cooperation. I am sure that the work of the thematic sections under the leadership of leading representatives of the professional community will help to form a meaningful agenda reflecting modern challenges and tasks of cultural development," said Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
In furtherance of this theme, the business program will be organized into 10 thematic sections that combine key areas of modern cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The decision of the organizing committee approved the composition of the curators, who will determine the content of each thematic area.
The Forum participants focused on issues of preserving cultural heritage, strengthening cultural sovereignty, the role of education and media, the development of theater, cinema, museums, musical art and circus, as well as the influence of modern technologies on the formation of the cultural code of the future. Each thematic section will become a space for professional dialogue and the development of practical initiatives aimed at developing international humanitarian cooperation.
The thematic sections were curated by Konstantin Ernst, Director General of Channel One, Yulia Kupina, Director of the Russian Ethnographic Museum, Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Andrey Kondrashov, Director General of TASS, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage Museum, Alexey Shalashov, Director General of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic, Olga Shalashov, Director General of the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg. Khomova, Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Arts — GITIS Grigory Zaslavsky, General Director of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives Roman Karmanov, Chairman of the Union of Theatrical Figures of the Russian Federation Vladimir Mashkov, Artistic Director of the State Theater of Nations Evgeny Mironov, President of the Alexandrinsky Theater Valery Fokin and General Director of the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus Edgard Zapashny.
