The OP reminded working pensioners about the recalculation of pensions in August

The Social Fund of Russia (SFR) on Saturday, August 1, will conduct an annual recalculation of old-age insurance pensions for working pensioners, taking into account contributions for 2025. Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for public control and handling of citizens' appeals, recalled this on July 19.

"On August 1, the Social Fund of Russia will recalculate the old-age insurance pension for working pensioners. The recalculation will be carried out for those pensioners for whom employers deducted insurance premiums in 2025. Regardless of whether a pensioner continues to work in 2026 or has already quit, an essential condition is the availability of insurance premiums for 2025," Masharov said in an interview with TASS.

The social activist clarified that citizens will not need to submit applications to the Social Fund. The adjustment of payments will take place automatically, as information about the length of service and insurance premiums of employees is received by the department as part of mandatory reporting by employers.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

Lawyer Timur Marshani said on July 17 that in Russia, starting from July 7, 2026, the procedure for processing pensions has changed. When applying for payment, it is enough for a citizen to provide a passport and SNILS, and the Social Fund of Russia will receive the rest of the necessary information independently. According to the expert, data on seniority and earnings will now be requested automatically through a single digital platform and interagency interaction.
