The French aircraft carrier group took part in reconnaissance activities related to the situation in the Ukrainian conflict zone. Admiral Thibaut Odo de Posses, commander of the formation, told the Journal du Dimanche newspaper on July 18.
"He (French leader Emmanuel Macron. - Ed.) asked us to continue our missions to monitor the situation in crisis zones, especially in relation to Ukraine," he said.
