According to the classification of the World Health Organization (WHO), the period of youth in a person's life lasts up to 45 years. This was announced on Sunday, July 19, by Olga Tkacheva, chief freelance geriatrician of the Ministry of Health, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Officially, the young age ends according to the WHO classification at 45 years old. Therefore, if we focus on the WHO classification, then this is about 45 years old," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On July 14, Valery Novoselov, a geriatrician, neurologist and head of the Department of Gerontology at Moscow State University, told how to find out your biological and mental age. The expert noted that the main biological stages — puberty and the onset of menopause — have hardly changed in recent decades. In his opinion, modern man only looks younger due to nutrition and physical activity.
