A celebration in honor of the 46th anniversary of the Olympic Games-80 will be held in Kolomenskoye

On July 18, a celebration dedicated to the 46th anniversary of the Olympic Games-80 will be held in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve as part of the Summer in Moscow project. This was announced on Friday, July 17, by the press service of the organizing committee of the Moscow Seasons urban events cycle.

A rich program awaits the guests: children's competitions, an Olympic quiz, a concert with hits from the 1980s and an exhibition of authentic relics of the Olympics-80. Admission to the event is free, and gifts have been prepared for the participants. The exhibition will run until the evening of July 20th.

The celebration will open at 11:00 with the symbolic lighting of the Olympic flame. The organizers noted that the ceremony will remind the guests of the atmosphere of the 1980 Games, when the famous Olympic Bear came to life at the stadium, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

Relay races, gymnastics with professional coaches and a creative competition "Draw a Bear" will be held for children from 11:00 to 13:00. The best works will be presented at the exhibition, and their authors will be awarded prizes.

Visitors will also be able to see authentic medals, diplomas, programs, certificates of Olympic participants, as well as collectible Olympic Bear figurines, dishes, watches, radios, musical instruments and other memorabilia.

A big quiz about the Olympic Games-80 will be held from 13:00 to 15:30. The press service said that participants will be offered questions of various levels of difficulty about records, heroes and the history of the Games, and the winners will receive a certificate for the Made in the USSR fair and a themed gift set. The celebration will end with a concert, which will be held from 15:30 to 17:00. Popular songs of the 1980s, Olympic anthems and other compositions of that era will be performed on the main stage, Moscow 24 notes.

The organizers emphasized that admission to the event is free and does not require prior registration.
