The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal of Moscow upheld the decision of the Arbitration Court to recover about €200 billion from the Belgian bank Euroclear in favor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. This was announced to RIA Novosti on July 16 by a participant in the closed-door meeting.

"The decision was upheld," the source said.

On that day, Euroclear appealed to the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal with a request to suspend consideration of the complaint against the Central Bank's claim. The credit institution requests that the case be postponed until a decision is made by the European Court. At the same time, it is not specified what kind of trial is in question.

On June 8, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld the decision to apply for immediate enforcement of the foreclosure from the Belgian depository at the request of the Bank of Russia. At the same time, on May 30, Euroclear filed an appeal against the verdict, which the plaintiffs, represented by the Central Bank, considered fair. On May 15, the Arbitration Court of the capital satisfied the Central Bank's claim against Euroclear in the amount of 200 billion euros (about 18.2 trillion rubles). The court applied for an immediate enforcement order.
