The decision to subsidize fuel purchases for the Republic of Crimea was made as part of the execution of instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on July 16 by the head of the region Sergey Aksenov.

He also clarified that the work on the implementation of the tasks is at the final stage. According to Aksyonov, the necessary orders were given by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

"Everything should be settled by the end of the week. We hope that the federal authorities will accurately follow the instructions of the leader and on Monday the issue of subsidies will be finally resolved," he said in a video message published on the Telegram channel.

Aksyonov stressed that at the moment the regional authorities are awaiting the final procedures from the federal center. He added that a fundamental decision on the issue has already been made, and relevant departments confirm the current calculations.

Putin said on July 13 that Russia was working on a fuel supply system for Crimea, which would be very difficult for the enemy to reach. Commenting on the issues of fuel supply, he also noted that the situation with oil products in the country will gradually improve.
