Guests can watch domestic and foreign novelties, join the "Movie Night" campaign, attend meetings with famous filmmakers, lectures, excursions, master classes.

The Moscow International Film Week will be held in the capital from 24 to 30 August. It will be held for the third time and will cover many urban venues: the film park and the Moskino film factory, cinemas of the same name and the Khudozhestvenny chain, as well as popular places where a mobile cinema will operate. This was announced by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"Everyone will be able to watch domestic and foreign novelties, join the Movie Night campaign, attend meetings with famous filmmakers, lectures, excursions, master classes. The business program will include more than 40 sessions dedicated to the development of the industry," Natalia Sergunina said.

The event will feature expert discussions with the participation of professionals from Russia, India, Thailand, Turkey and other countries. The business part is scheduled for August 27 and 28 at the Moskino Film Factory.

Participants will discuss key aspects of film production and promotion, the use of artificial intelligence, changing audience preferences, the role of online platforms, and other topics. The guests will also be presented with the opportunities that the Moscow film cluster offers to industry representatives.

The schedule of events and the rules of attendance will be available on the official website.

Last year, more than 700,000 people attended the Moscow International Film Week. As a result, cooperation agreements were concluded with Egypt, Mexico, Brazil and Turkey, and the first applications were submitted for rebates — compensation for part of the costs associated with the creation of international projects in Moscow.

Thanks to this grant program, the filming of a Russian‑Indian film has already begun. The plot focuses on the story of a badminton player who, as part of the Russian national team, goes to a tournament in India. In addition, a joint film production with an Uzbek film concern will be launched this year. The film will tell about the exploits of the soldiers of the Tashkent division who took part in the battle for Moscow.

The organizers of the Moscow International Film Week are the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow and the autonomous non-profit organization Moskino. The event is held within the framework of the Moscow — the City of Cinema project, which aims to create and develop a multifunctional ecosystem for the creation of films, series and TV projects. The Moscow film cluster includes the Gorky Film Studio, the film Park, the film Commission, the film platform, the Moskino film factory and the Moskino cinema chain.
