More than 250 stops of a new type were made at SVARZ this year.

Moscow is completing the renovation of bus shelters with more modern designs to increase passenger comfort in urban land transport. According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow government for Transport and Industry, since 2018, more than 6.3 thousand modern bus shelters have been assembled at the Sokolnicheskiy Wagon Repair and Construction Plant (SVARZ).

"Moscow is updating its transport infrastructure to improve the quality of passenger service, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. This year, more than 250 new—type bus shelters have already been built in the capital," Liksutov said. He stressed that modern stops make waiting for transport more comfortable and contribute to improving the urban environment."

The new pavilions are assembled from Russian-made materials. More than 400 highly professional specialists are involved in their production at SVARZ.

In 2025, SVARZ celebrated its 120th anniversary. The plant is the country's leader in the production of urban transport and its infrastructure as part of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans. Since 2021, a site for the assembly of electric buses of KAMAZ PJSC has been operating on the territory of the SVARZ. The factory also produces ultra-fast charging stations for electric buses.

To date, there are stops of various designs in Moscow. The most common ones, the standard ones, are installed on routes with low or medium passenger traffic. Compact pavilions with a smaller roof area are placed on narrow landing sites. Multi-section pavilions and stops with a smaller width are also being installed in the city. In addition, in Moscow, you can find flags indicating the route on the narrowest platforms and canopies — large structures near major transfer hubs.
