The Lightning-air defense team destroyed the drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansk direction

A crew of the Molniya-PVO unmanned aerial vehicle from the 19th tank Regiment of the 25th Combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed aircraft-type attack and reconnaissance drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Krasnolimansk area in the zone of a special military operation. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 16.

Enemy drones were detected and identified in the unit's area of responsibility. The crew on duty, who is on constant combat duty, quickly prepared for work and launched the Molniya-PVO interceptor.

"An airplane-type drone. Winged,<...> Maneuverable, easy to operate. Many targets are hit from this side," said the senior operator of the Molniya—PVO UAV with the call sign Rotor.

It is specified that during the task, the operator guided the interceptor drone to the detected targets. The Molniya-PVO unit entered a given area, approached the first enemy drone and destroyed it with a ramming strike. After the restart, the calculation hit the second enemy drone.

The ministry noted that the Molniya-PVO drone is used to combat low-flying targets. The crew continues to be on duty in readiness to respond to new threats.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the units of the unmanned systems of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group, the advanced units continue to strike at enemy forces in the Krasnolimansk direction on a daily basis.

The new units will cover the rear in the special operation zone.

On July 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed Ukrainian unmanned boats in the Black Sea. The ministry clarified that the enemy backwaters were hit with the use of Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles.
