During the summer season, Russians may face the risk of contracting tularemia, a naturally occurring focal infection carried by rodents and insects. This was reported on July 16 in Rospotrebnadzor.

"Preventive measures are to ensure the rodent—proof properties of residential buildings, cottages and cellars," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.
