In St. Petersburg, Sosnovsky hogweed was detected at 60 sites

In St. Petersburg, work continues to identify thickets of pine hogweed. The dangerous plant has already been found at 60 sites, the press service of the State Administrative and Technical Inspection (GATI) reports.

These summer weeds were most often found on the outskirts of the city on the lands of entrepreneurs. Both preventive and administrative measures were applied to the owners of land plots to eliminate violations of the law.

Thus, 42 warnings were issued to those responsible for the territories where the hogweed grew. More than 20 legal entities received fines in the amount of 600 thousand rubles. On their plots, the plant revealed complexes with artificial intelligence "Policeman".

As noted by 78.ru GATI taught the neural network to identify foci of Sosnovsky hogweed last summer. Now this technology works on all eight "City guards" who control the territory of St. Petersburg.

The task of such work is to force the owners to destroy the invasive plant on their plots in a timely manner and prevent its re—spread.

Earlier it was reported that robots are now being used in the Leningrad region to combat hogweed. The first samples are working in Tosnensky district, in places where chemical treatment of weeds is prohibited.
