Musk calls Marine Le Pen "France's last hope"
On July 15, American entrepreneur Elon Musk called Marine Le Pen, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the National Unification Party, the last hope of France.
"She is the last hope of France," he wrote in a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
This is how Musk commented on Le Pen's intention to participate in the 2027 presidential election. At the same time, a similar reaction from the entrepreneur followed the publication of one of the users of the social network, who pointed to the growth of Le Pen's rating over the past four years.
According to the data provided, before the French presidential election in 2022, 23% of respondents supported her, while this figure rose to 36% this year.
On July 10, Le Pen topped the ranking of potential candidates for the presidency of France. Sociologists note that the recent court decision did not worsen Le Pen's position in any way, but, on the contrary, the official statement about her participation in the presidential race blocked the negative information background and led to an increase in popularity among voters.
After the verdict of the Court of Appeal, Le Pen announced on July 7 that she would participate in the French leadership elections in 2027. She added that she would participate in the election race in a coalition with another member of the National Association, Jordan Bardella.
