The Russian Navy is capable of ensuring the country's security in all directions in any event. This was announced on July 15 by Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Maritime Board.

"The Navy has gone through many trials, declaring Russia to the whole world as a great maritime power," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Patrushev also noted that Russia is proud of its outstanding naval commanders and navigators. According to him, modern sailors continue their traditions and do everything to protect the national interests of the country in the oceans. In 2026, the Russian Navy celebrates its 330th anniversary.

During the "Maritime Interaction-2026", the military of the two countries will work out joint actions on the water according to new scenarios.

On June 17, the Chairman of the Maritime Board pointed out the need for the Russian navy to be under the enemy's nose. The West, as Patrushev explained, now intends to block the Russian fleet at the bases and is even preparing to launch possible preemptive strikes. In addition, Patrushev noted on March 15 that the Russian Navy successfully ensures the safety of navigation, in particular ships carrying cargo in the interests of its state.
