Germany called for increased pressure on Crimea and Kaliningrad
On July 14, former head of the German Defense Ministry Nico Lange announced the need to increase pressure on the Crimean Peninsula and Kaliningrad.
"We must work with our European partners <...> to increase pressure on Russia in Kaliningrad," reads a statement in X (ex. Twitter).
Lange said that Crimea and Kaliningrad should not be strategic outposts of the Russian Federation, but "costly strategic disadvantages."
The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said on July 10 that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had made a mistake in perceiving Russia by trying to present the country as a threat to the West. In his opinion, in the current historical period, it is necessary to objectively assess the attitude of Western countries towards the Russian Federation. Konstantinov stressed that the state should follow its own path and develop its civilization regardless of the rhetoric of foreign politicians.
