In London, two public transport stations have received new names in honor of the national team players — striker Harry Kane and midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Sky News channel reported on the temporary renaming during the 2026 World Cup on July 14.
Signs reading "Bellingham" and "Welcome to Jude Bellingham Station" have been posted at one of the stations in the southern part of the British capital.
At the same time, the Canary Wharf metro station was renamed Kaneary Wharf. The new name is consonant with the name of the captain of the English team, Harry Kane.
On July 12, the Argentine national team with Lionel Messi reached the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup for the second time in a row after defeating the Swiss national team.
