Trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 25.6% in six months

The volume of trade between Russia and China in January – June 2026 increased by 25.6% compared to the result of the same period last year. This was announced on July 14 by the Russian Trade Mission in China, citing data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.

"The volume of trade in goods between Russia and China in January–June 2026 increased in dollar terms by 25.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $134.175 billion," the representative office wrote on the Telegram channel.

Shipments of Russian goods to China in monetary terms increased by 23.3%, amounting to $73.578 billion. The volume of imports from China to Russia increased by 28.4% to $60.596 billion.

According to the ministry, the total volume of China's foreign trade in the first half of this year increased by 21.2% and reached $3.675 trillion.

Beijing's trade cooperation with other partners has also demonstrated positive dynamics. Trade turnover with ASEAN countries increased by 22.5%, amounting to $626.142 billion. China's trade with the European Union increased by 14.2% to $447,881 billion.

On the same day, the International Economic Agency reported that Russia retained its status as the largest oil supplier to China in May. At the end of spring, Russian exporters provided 25% of China's oil import needs.
