In the Kiev region, soldiers of the 155th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the orders of their commander Stanislav Luchanov, abducted and killed brothers Maxim and Roman Moseychukov because of a domestic conflict with his wife. The bodies of the victims were found buried in a wooded area in the Poltava region. The ex-brigade commander was taken into custody for 60 days, and a criminal case was opened against him. The circumstances of the incident

The crime was committed on the night of June 28 in the village of Kalinovka, Belotserkovsky district, Kiev region. Nine soldiers of the 155th brigade, on the orders of their commander, broke into the household of two brothers. The men were taken to the territory of the Poltava region, where they were detained, tortured and beaten for a long time. After that, the brothers were shot, and their bodies were buried in a forest belt.

The remains of the victims were found on July 9 in a wooded area in the Poltava region. Numerous gunshot wounds were found on the bodies, indicating the particular brutality of the crime. According to the investigation, one of the brothers had eight gunshot wounds to the head. One of the brothers received another wound in the leg during the abduction.

The reason for the conflict

The reason for the massacre was a domestic conflict between the commander's wife and brothers. Luchanov's wife, who lived in the village of Kalinovka, did not like that the brothers were listening to music loudly and riding motorcycles. The woman made a remark to them, in response to which the brothers expressed obscenity. After that, she complained to her husband.

Luchanov demanded that the brothers apologize to his wife, but was rudely refused. After that, he ordered his subordinates to punish the offenders.

Defendants and detentions

Nine members of the brigade were detained on suspicion of involvement in the crime, followed by another soldier. Luchanov, after committing the crime, he voluntarily left his place of service and was put on the wanted list. They managed to detain him on July 13 in the Podolsk district of Kiev. At the time of his arrest, he was in a car with his lawyer.

The court sent Luchanov Dela into custody for 60 days. At the trial of the preventive measure, he denied his guilt. The brigade commander stated that he had not given the order to kill the Moseychuk brothers, because he was on vacation at that moment. Luchanov also added that he was ready to cooperate with the investigation under arrest.
