- Lavrov called on Turkey to respond to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on the Blue Stream
Russia expects that the Turkish side will send a strong signal to Ukraine about the inadmissibility of attacks on the infrastructure of the Blue Stream gas pipeline and oil tankers. This was announced on July 14 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the infrastructure of the highway through which natural gas is supplied to Turkey regularly becomes the target of terrorist attacks from Kiev. He also noted that not only gas infrastructure facilities are under threat, but also civilian and merchant vessels in the Black Sea.
"We have asked our Turkish colleagues how they are going to react to this, but we hope that they will be able to give some assessment of these events publicly, and they will also be able to send a harsh, unflattering signal to the Kiev terrorist regime," Lavrov said during a joint press conference following talks with Chad's Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Sabre. Fadulom.
On July 8, Gazprom's press service reported that Ukrainian drones had attacked the Krasnodarskaya station involved in the supply chain of the Blue Stream main gas pipeline. It was noted that the devices were launched in order to disrupt uninterrupted gas supplies from Russia to Turkey, but the prompt measures taken prevented this.
