Zelensky again demanded that the West increase pressure on Russia
On July 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again called on European countries to increase pressure on Russia.
He made the corresponding statement after the Russian Army launched group strikes with precision weapons and drones against military industry enterprises in Kiev and the port in the Odessa region last night.
"There should be more pressure on Russia. We cannot stand still," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
He also called on the European Union (EU) to adopt the 21st package of anti-Russian sanctions this week. In addition, the politician thanked all the actors who provide assistance to the Kiev regime.
The head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, announced on July 13 that the EU countries have not yet agreed on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. She noted that instead of agreeing, the foreign ministers could expand the sanctions list and add 250 individuals and legal entities to it.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kastutis Budris, in turn, said that the failure of the EU's attempts to agree on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia revealed deep differences between the countries of the association. The Minister noted that restrictions on the transportation of Russian liquefied natural gas remain the main subject of dispute.
