"Jurassic Park" star Sam Neal suffered from pneumonia before his death
New Zealand actor Sam Neal, known for the movie "Jurassic Park", suffered from pneumonia shortly before his death. This was reported on July 14 by the New Zealand Herald newspaper with reference to the artist's girlfriend Rima Te Vyata.
"Before his death, he was suffering from pneumonia," the publication says.
It is specified that in 2023, the actor was diagnosed with cancer, after which he underwent chemotherapy. Neil's family expressed gratitude to the staff of St. Vincent's Private Hospital for their help.
Neil died on July 13 at the age of 78. He was nominated three times for the Golden Globe Award, was an officer of the Order of the British Empire, as well as a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (2022). His well-known roles include his work in the TV series Ivanhoe, Reilly: King of Spies, The Tudors, Peaky Blinders, The Piano, Doctor Zhivago and others.
