The ex-captain of the Russian junior national hockey team was accused of fraud
Alexander Khovanov, the former captain of the Russian junior national ice hockey team, who is accused of fraud, will appear in court in the Saratov region. This was reported by Kommersant on July 14, citing data from the Volsky District Court file.
It is specified that the first hearing in the case of the 26-year-old native of Volsk is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14. The trial will be headed by Judge Dmitry Leshtaev. The athlete was charged with fraud on a large and especially large scale (Parts 3 and 4 of art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Police reports were filed by parents of young hockey players from several cities in the Saratov region.
