At the end of spring, Russian exporters provided 25% of China's oil import needs. Saudi Arabia took the second place in the list of leading suppliers of raw materials to China, with a share of 17%.
At the same time, the total volume of oil supplies to China dropped sharply in late spring. The indicator fell from 9.32 million barrels per day to 7.72 million. According to analysts, the negative dynamics of imports to the Asian country continued in June.
On June 9, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China reported that the volume of trade between Russia and China in January—May 2026 increased by 22.9% year-on-year and reached $109.5 billion. At the same time, in May of this year, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $23.72 billion.
