A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The fighters of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 160 people, four vehicles, a field artillery piece and two electronic warfare (EW) stations.

The Zapad group of forces has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 210 soldiers, 15 vehicles, a 155 mm M777 howitzer and a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare station.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 140 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 19 vehicles and five field artillery pieces.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 330 people, five armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, an electronic intelligence station and an electronic warfare station.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were also defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 475 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles and 11 vehicles.

The fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the Armed Forces brigades in the populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 65 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 16 vehicles and five electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Russian troops using tactical aviation, attack drones, rocket troops and artillery hit fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage sites and assembly workshops for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. Temporary locations of Kiev regime fighters and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts were also destroyed.

Air defense systems shot down seven guided aerial bombs, two US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 715 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 181166 unmanned aerial vehicles, 665 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30152 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1757 multiple rocket launchers, 35758 field artillery guns and mortars, 66445 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
