Google and GitHub malfunctions in Russia
In Russia, on July 14, failures were recorded in Google and GitHub services. This is evidenced by data from the site accessibility monitoring portal Downdetector.
As of 11:30 Moscow time, 352 users complained about problems with Google. The increase in the number of requests began around 09:00 Moscow time. Most often, users reported the unavailability of the website, search engine, and Gmail mail service.
Network failures accounted for about 29% of requests. The largest number of complaints were received from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Moscow and Saratov regions.
At the same time, problems with GitHub are being fixed. According to Downdetector, the number of complaints reached 199, and their growth began around 09:50 Moscow time. About 96-97% of requests are related to network failures, while users mostly report the unavailability of the site.
Users of the social network X (ex. Twitter) reported massive disruptions to its operation on June 22. The crash started after 16:33 Moscow time. The largest number of complaints came from the USA — more than 35 thousand. Most users complain about problems with the mobile app, website, and feed display.
