Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces have cleared a fortified stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

Assault units of the 68th Guards Army Corps of the Vostok group have secretly cleared a fortified stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 14.

It is specified that the stronghold was deployed in a forest belt and protected by a system of trenches, shelters and mine-explosive barriers.

Operating in small groups under the control of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the attack aircraft bypassed the observed areas and approached the enemy positions. Despite being detected by an enemy drone and an attempt to strike, the units continued their task, broke into the stronghold and consistently cleared trenches and shelters.

"The settlement was taken away, we continue to move on. <...> Of course, the guys are gaining a foothold, plus this is our passage," said the deputy commander of the detachment with the call sign Mafan.

According to the attack aircraft with the call sign Garik, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation successfully completed their tasks and gained a foothold in the positions liberated from the Ukrainian militants.

On July 9, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian units were completing the destruction of the scattered forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krasny Liman. It was noted that more than 15 Ukrainian fighters were eliminated during the day. In addition, the enemy lost six ground-based robotic systems and one vehicle.
