The Ukrainian Armed Forces confused the paratroopers from the Russian Federation with their colleagues and dropped them provisions for a week.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) provided provisions to Russian paratroopers in the village of Vasilyevka for a week, mistaking them for their own unit. This was announced on July 14 by a scout of the 237th regiment of the 76th Airborne Division as part of the Center group of forces with the call sign Maks.

"The [AFU] command continued to drop them [provisions] for about a week, they thought they were sitting there," the serviceman told TASS.
