Vucic announced the "serious arming" of Ukraine by European countries
European countries are conducting large-scale armament of Ukraine, agreeing on the creation of joint defense capacities and supplying Kiev with modern equipment. This was announced on July 13 by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
"Aster missiles designed for anti—ballistic protection, as we would say, from cruise missiles, ballistic missiles - eight European countries will work on this system together with Kiev.<...> In any case, Ukrainians are seriously arming themselves. Europe is seriously arming them," Vucic told reporters in Paris, as quoted by TASS.
In addition, he added that Europe may face economic difficulties due to gas shortages and the ongoing Ukrainian conflict. In addition, according to the Serbian president, the chaos around the Strait of Hormuz may affect this.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on June 13 that Paris would transfer 16 Rafale fighter jets to Kiev in 2028-2029, as well as licenses for the production of missiles and aerial bombs. According to Macron, we are talking about licenses for the production of Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles for SAMP/T complexes, AASM Hammer bombs and SCALP cruise missiles.
