The Umo 5 electric car became available to private buyers

The prices and complete sets of the Yandex Umo 5 electric car have been announced. The first cars will be issued to private buyers in September this year, the brand's press service reported on July 13.

The front-wheel drive electric crossover is an analog of the Aion Y Plus model from GAC, localized at the Moskvich plant.

The car is available in two versions: "Pro" at a price of 2.6 million rubles and "Max" at a price of 2.8 million rubles. The manufacturer indicates the prices based on the state subsidy when buying an electric car.

The basic equipment includes six airbags, an all-round view system, rear parking sensors, climate control, and a multimedia system with a 14.6-inch screen. This car is available only in white body color and with 17-inch wheels.

The Max version differs from the Pro version with 18-inch wheels, a panoramic roof with a sunroof and a curtain that can be controlled by voice, and an ADAS L2 electronic assistant package that includes adaptive cruise control and a lane-keeping system. The list of car options also includes wireless charging for a smartphone and smart interior lighting.

The electric car in the top configuration can be ordered, in addition to white, in gray and gray-gold colors.

Both versions are equipped with Yandex navigation and multimedia services. With Alice's help, you can control not only multimedia by voice, but also the car's functions — climate, power windows, and trunk.

Umo 5 also supports remote control via a mobile app and Home-to-Car technology — remote voice control using Yandex Station.

It is emphasized that the electric car is adapted to Russian conditions. It has heated front and rear seats, heated windshield, steering wheel and windshield washer nozzles.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reported on July 1 that in the first six months of 2026, 679.8 thousand vehicles (TC) under the age of three were sold in Russia, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses. This figure is 12% more than in the same period last year. In the segment of hybrid and electric vehicles, the market volume for the first six months amounted to 54.3 thousand units, which is 90.7% higher than the same indicator last year.
