Traffic on the Transcaucasian highway was restricted until the morning of July 13

The Transcaucasian highway, which connects Russia with South Ossetia, has been closed for almost 12 hours for transport. This was reported on July 12 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania.

"Due to the inability to ensure the safe passage of vehicles along the Transcaucasian highway, as well as in accordance with the recommendation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Updor Kavkaz, the movement of all vehicles on the Buron — North Portal section of the Roki Tunnel in both directions is prohibited from 21:30 on July 12, 2026 to 09:00 on July 13, 2026. of the year," reads a message posted on the agency's website.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that it is strongly recommended to refrain from traveling along the highway unnecessarily. It is reported that emergency and city services are on high alert to respond to possible emergencies.
