Lavrov announced Russia's readiness to mass-produce a vaccine against the Ebola strain.

Russia is ready to produce a vaccine against a new strain of Ebola in serial volumes. This was announced on July 10 by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov following talks with his counterpart from Burundi, Eduard Bizimana.

"Our representatives <...> have found the test systems that are suitable for detecting this particular virus and are ready <...> to produce a vaccine against this new strain in serial volumes," he said.

Lavrov noted that biomaterials are needed to organize production, and the Russian side asked the Burundian authorities to provide them. After receiving the materials, industrial production of the vaccine will be launched.
