Experts announced an increase in sales of new trucks in June
In June 2026, 3,920 new trucks were registered in Russia, compared to 3,834 a year earlier. This is 2% more than in June 2025, according to Autostat-Info.
Relative to May 2026, the market also gained 2%. In January-June 2026, sales in the truck segment amounted to 24,502 units against 29,135 units a year earlier (-16%).
KAMAZ consolidated its leadership: 1,361 vehicles in June and an increase of 21% year—on-year, and by the end of the half-year - 8,682 vehicles, which is 4% more than last year's result. Dongfeng grew by 31% to 283 vehicles in June, and increased by 17% to 1,454 units in the first half of the year. Ural increased sales by 56% and reached 7% growth in the first half of the year. MAZ showed moderate growth: plus 13% in June and plus 7% in the first half of the year. The Valdai stands alone: in June, it added 192%, and in January-June — 240%, to 816 cars.
Sitrak dropped by 39% in June, to 234 vehicles, and by the end of January-June — by 62% at once, to 1,496 units. GAS decreased by 7% in June and by 30% in six months, FAW — by 11% and 20% respectively, Shacman — by 44% in June and by 48% in six months.
The overall market is supported not by a broad growth front, but by a redistribution of demand between individual brands, analysts say. It has stopped shrinking, but it has not yet fully returned to its previous volumes.
"Looking more broadly, the current level is still noticeably lower than in the second half of 2025, when the market reached 6411 cars in October and 6721 units in December. Even the spring peak of 2026 in April, when 4,944 trucks were sold, was not repeated in June. This means that the market has found a temporary equilibrium point, but remains in a narrower demand corridor than a year ago," Autostat-Info notes.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reported on July 1 that in the first six months of 2026, 679.8 thousand vehicles (TC) under the age of three were sold in Russia, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses. This figure is 12% higher than in the same period last year. Sales of new vehicles manufactured in the Russian Federation increased by 29.3%, to 431 thousand units.
