The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has identified a suspected UAV operator in the attacks on the Bryansk region

The identity of the operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) suspected of attacks on the territory of the Bryansk region has been established. As the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on July 10, the Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Viktor Panko.

The man is suspected of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Committing a terrorist act that caused the death of a person"). It was established that Panko launched the Vampire hexacopter on November 27, 2025, near the village of Senkovka in the Gorodnyansky district of the Chernihiv region of Ukraine. Continuing to pilot the drone, he dropped ammunition from it near the village of Krucha in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region.

"As a result of the detonation, one person died. At the request of the investigator of the GVSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Panko has been put on the wanted list," the Telegram channel says.

Further investigation should establish all the circumstances of Panko's criminal actions, which will be given a criminal legal assessment.

On July 9, the Russian security forces announced the liquidation of Viktor Tomashevsky, commander of the battalion of the 411th brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
