A large drug factory for the production of "synthetics" was liquidated in Gatchina

Large-scale production of synthetic drugs was eliminated in the Leningrad region. The laboratory was headed by a 39-year-old resident of the Gatchina district, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Thursday, July 9.

The man organized the synthesis of mephedrone in a private house in the gardening area of the Thicket. During the searches, the police seized containers with a powdery substance weighing almost 7.3 kg, 20 cans with reagents and precursors with a total volume of 400 liters, as well as laboratory utensils, scales, personal protective equipment and other equipment.

According to the attacker, in August 2025, he established sales through bookmarks, hiding large quantities of goods in the forest. In one of these caches, the police found and seized 10 bags of powder weighing more than 10.1 kg.

The total weight of the seized substances was 17.4 kg, writes 78.ru . A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia "Attempt to sell drugs on an especially large scale." The person involved has been detained, and further operational search activities are underway.

Earlier it was reported that in June, about 200 kg of hashish were seized in St. Petersburg. A large batch of drugs was stored in a construction shed and was intended for an inter-regional distribution channel.
