State support for gas filling infrastructure expanded in Amur region

In the Amur Region, the rules for investments in gas stations will change. The range of projects applying for state support in the creation of gas filling infrastructure has been expanded.

Government assistance will extend not only to stationary gas filling stations, but also to mobile gas station sites. The main condition is that the amount of investment in the project must be at least 100 million rubles.

According to PriamurMedia news agency, previously, only facilities that were connected to grid gas received the status of a large-scale investment project.

The regional law was changed due to the growing demand for gas-powered fuel and limited availability of mains gas in some areas. Thanks to these changes, investors will be able to receive land and other preferences for the organization of gas distribution points without direct connection to gas mains, the agency writes with reference to the regional Ministry of Economic Development.

The head of the department Oksana Kuksheneva informs about the steady transition of transport to gas. For example, 60 taxis are already operating on gas in Blagoveshchensk, and 44 more cars are promised to be retrofitted by the end of the year. In Svobodny, 15 units of departmental transport are to be switched to gas by September 1. 24 gas buses are already operating in the city, and six more will be added soon. 78 new gas–powered buses are to be delivered to the region in 2026-2027.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg it is planned to abolish the transport tax for cars with electric motors and cars using natural gas as fuel by 2030. The relevant bill was adopted on June 9 by the legislative assembly of the city in the first reading.
