More than 1 billion rubles were allocated for housing for orphans in the Khabarovsk Territory

In 2026, 245 orphaned children received housing in the Khabarovsk Territory. This is 52% more than in 2025. The regional government has allocated more than 1.2 billion rubles for these purposes.

Such data was presented at a meeting of the working group on the issues of ensuring the housing rights of children left without parental care. Representatives of the executive bodies took part in it, and the vice-governor Artem Melnikov held a meeting.

According to the vice-governor, quoted by IA AmurMedia, 22 servicemen have received social benefits since the beginning of the year. Starting this year, the Regional Ministry of Social Protection is forming a separate register of citizens from orphaned children who need to be provided with housing, and those who have participated or are taking part in their activities.

Social benefits are paid to persons who serve under a contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as to persons whose spouse is serving under a contract in the Armed Forces of Russia.

Earlier it was reported that 56 more apartments intended for orphaned children will appear in Khabarovsk by the end of 2026. Check-in is planned in October. The relevant equity participation agreements were concluded by the Regional Ministry of Construction. About 400 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the project.
