According to the investigation, on June 27, a resident of Achinsk invited her daughter to go to the store and left the house with her. After that, the attacker took the girl to a deserted place near the railway tracks, where she strangled her.

On July 5, investigators found the girl's body on a railway embankment in Achinsk. Up to this point, the mother and child were considered missing. The woman was put on the federal wanted list, and on July 7, she was detained by law enforcement officers in one of the shopping malls in Novosibirsk.

On July 8, the Investigative Committee of Russia announced that the woman had confessed her guilt. As investigators found out, after committing the crime, the woman dumped her daughter's body on a railway embankment and hitchhiked to Krasnoyarsk. Then she went to Tomsk in the same way, and then to Novosibirsk.

How the mother of the murdered girl was detained

After the wife and daughter disappeared, the woman's husband contacted the police. A large-scale search began with the involvement of volunteers. The suspect's path was recorded by surveillance cameras: first she was captured in Achinsk, then in Krasnoyarsk, and without her daughter.

After the discovery of the girl's body, the woman was officially put on the federal wanted list. On July 7, she was found in Novosibirsk. The video analytics system helped to identify the suspect: the cameras in the shopping center in the Zaeltsovsky district recognized her by orientation.

The police, together with UK investigators, detained a woman right in one of the shopping malls. After that, the suspect was first taken to Novosibirsk, and then transported to the Krasnoyarsk Territory for investigative actions.

What threatens the accused in the murder of a five-year-old girl from Achinsk

The 32-year-old mother will be charged in the near future. A criminal case has been opened against the woman under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor, obviously for the perpetrator who is in a helpless state"). The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is also being resolved.

According to this article, the law provides for imprisonment for a term of 8 to 20 years with restriction of liberty for 1-2 years or life imprisonment. In addition, the accused will be assigned a forensic psychiatric examination.

"During the interrogation, the defendant fully admitted her guilt and explained that the motive for the crime was personal hostility, including towards her spouse," the agency said in the Maks messenger.

The suspect's father told Izvestia that she had been diagnosed with a mental disorder. In addition, the woman took out loans from microfinance organizations. At the same time, the woman's neighbor described her family as calm and non-confrontational.

"They always lived quietly, we didn't hear any screams or scandals. Nobody noticed the rude attitude towards the child either," she said.
